No more BO while doing your yoga!!
I am serious about this! I have found a super soft, eco-friendly, sustainable material from the Panda bear country that not only keeps your BO down, but feels so great hugging your body, that you’ll want to sleep in it.
It’s Bamboo Life®, with clothing and even Bamboo Life® bed linen!! You will never go back to Cotton!!.
No, it is not made in China, it’s made on the Island of the Gods – Bali, Indonesia. Find out more on our website and if you click “Like” on Face book Yoga World Tours, you can win your own Bamboo Life® t-shirt with your personal embroidery on it…doesn’t have to be your name could be something else, up to you.
Another positive: I believe that yoga clothes should fit loosely around the body, because it is all about flowing and breathing, the energy, your blood and your skin…and Bamboo Life® only uses 5% spandex in the t-shirts… a very comfortable, loose fit
If you are interested in how to receive your Bamboo Life® straw with your name in graved as well, just e-mail me on: michelle@yogaworltours.com

Bali Full Moon Yoga Retreat
Talking about Bali, we are having a retreat in September and will tell you all about it in our October newsletter. This retreat sees YWT introducing the world’s first BUTEYKO Yoga: the only scientific approach to a proper and healing way of breathing. You can check out www.buteykoasia.com for more information. We’ll be offering you this workshop next year but as I said, more about that in October’s newsletter.
I would also like to tell you about Villa Chi-Ki in Bali, one of the locations where we will stay in our “Full Moon Yoga Retreat”.

The villa sleeps 20, has two pools and plenty of space to do yoga, tai-chi, reiki, or even water yoga! If you would just like to come for a holiday, there is currently a special going on with 8 days/7 nights for only $800, including two of those wonderful massages and a day trip to Ubud – the Arts and Healing hub that Julia Roberts made famous in her 2010 movie, “Eat, Pray, Love”.
Speaking of “Eat,Pray,Love”, here’s me with the now-famous Wayan- Ubud’s herbalist from the book. Great Nasi Campurs at her place!
If you need us to help you organize your personal retreat or your holiday at Villa Chi-Ki…just contact us on info@yogaworldtours.com

On the subject of interesting people, I would like to introduce you to a friend of mine, Annabel, the founder and CEO of AquaMarine Diving. “Scuba-diving is one of the most serene activities available in Bali.” according to Annabel – and now you too can float effortlessly through our clear blue, tropical waters while observing Bali’s world-famous marine life. Bali has dive sites to suit all abilities and interests.
Yoga World Tours can highly recommend AquaMarine Diving – Bali (PADI), Bali’s only British owned and managed dive company. The experience of AquaMarine’s local dive staff together with British safety standards makes an unbeatable combination.
AquaMarine offers Bali’s best dive locations including Nusa Penida for drift-diving, Manta Point, Mola-Mola (July-Nov), Padangbai/Candidasa (Annabel’s favourite) and Tulamben for the fantastic 120m USAT Liberty WWII shipwreck.
In 2005, AquaMarine became Indonesia’s first “Project AWARE Go ECO” operator.
Services include everything from Snorkeling, One-Day Introductory Adventure Dives, to full-on PADI dive courses, from entry level to a wide variety of PADI specialties. Then there’s also Annabel’s Daily Dive Trips and Dive Safaris!
For more information just contact Annabel on Info@AquaMarineDiving.com or just visit the website

Bali is an amazing place with all that is organic and spiritual you can find here. I recently made a trip to the mountains to investigate an organic farm and brought my veggies back home wrapped up in a banana leaf.
The trip up to the hills took forever, but we were blessed by a spiritual parade and a stop at a local temple with amazing views.
As the farm was on the edge of an incredible valley, we hiked down to the river and came across several fresh water springs; water tastes just wonderful when taken straight from the source! Found out that going downhill is always easier that going back up the hill!!
On the way back, we stopped at one of our favorite organic restaurants, Sari Organic – right in the middle of the rice fields – to enjoy a very late lunch. On our Bali Full Moon Yoga Retreat, we will also go to this wonderful restaurant!
Fresh coconut water, Gado Gado , a vegetables dish, followed by freshly cut mango and as a gift they gave us our personal Bamboo straw. If you want your personal Bamboo straw with your name engraved, just drop me a line on: michelle@yogaworltours.com

Healing Health Food Book:
Talking about the South Americas and Bali, let me give you an amazing and simple recipe which compliments any fish or meat dish, adds punch to a salad, as a dip with corn chips, or simply have it on your toasted cheese sandwich! This dish is rich in vitamin C, one of THE best anti-oxidants of life.
This recipe involves plenty of tomatoes and we do need to be aware of these as they do belong to the Night Shade Family.
This family DOES cause arthritis and other pains and stiffness. Why? These vegetables deplete our bodies of Calcium, and puts it in areas where it does not belong
If you do not consume any dairy products, really limit your intake on these. I would like to say, ‘stay away from them’ but, as said, they do have a few good things as well. By the way, bell peppers are also part of this family and the greener your peppers or tomatoes are, the worse it is.
I believe that food needs to be in balance in regards to color, texture and taste. Problem with most ‘cooks’ is that they don’t taste their own food while making it! So, keep on tasting! Learn about your ingredients and what they do in combination with others.
Our recipes are simple, wholesome and rich in vitamins. I will guide you through our recipes to get the best result and understanding of food!
But, I am not going to give you exact measurements, you need to taste as you go!!
- 4 big tomatoes – chopped into small cubes
- Olive oil – drench your tomatoes in this, but don’t have them swim in it, ok.
- 1(or 2) garlic pcs – chopped tiny. (Nice if you can brown them in some butter, for that extra tang.)
- Add your garlic to the tomatoes.
- 2 celery sticks – cut them small, mix in with the tomatoes/garlic, add some salt and pepper.
- Celery is great because it is an ‘anti-calorie’, meaning, they eat your calories away!!
- If you don’t have the celery sticks, parsley is also very nice with this and has plenty of iron.
- Add lemon juice from half a lemon.
Now you have the red, and a nice green color and a bit of the white from the garlic. If you want to add some yellow to it, use a yellow bell pepper…a nice touch is to put the bell pepper on the fire, and make sure the whole skin turns black. Wash under the tap to remove the skin, and cut into thin slices to add to your mixture.
If you have some onions or shallots that need to be used up, that’s cool… chop them up and add them as well. You can also use some chives if you like.
You see, it’s a simple recipe and so yummy. Let it marinate for a bit, and just serve. You will see with all the other salads you serve, this one will go first! I had a bit of cracked-wheat left and added this as well. It soaks up the excess juices from the tomatoes…I also had some basil left from my garden, so added this as well to my ‘Salcita’. As you can see, lots of combos to play here with. Enjoy!!
